Thornicrofts Giraffe - a species unique to the Luangwa valley, Zambia
All of our adventures start at the magnificent Mutinondo Wilderness lodge, a base from which we explore and identify where each safari should be most beneficial.
These safaris are designed towards achieving the objectives set forth in our Conservation Initiative to protect and extend close on 300,000 acres of the Muchinga escarpment in Zambia - your dollar goes towards the preservation of this land!
Our safaris and trips are hands on, expedition style adventures where you are required to participate, share your expertise, have a degree of humility and a sense of adventure. We immerse you into "our Africa", not that of a glossy brochure, but rather the real Zambia - the people, their kids, their kindness and their daily lives. You will interact with them, your guides are local, your staff are local and your experience is unsurpassed.
With us you experience the true nature of the Zambian wilderness - you sleep out under the stars and walk amidst the animals, the birds and the bush. This is what we grew up doing and instill this into all our trips. Bumping along on the back of a tourist laden safari truck is not our idea of safari - walk with the beasts, interact with them, learn about them from those who live amongst them everyday.
Above all, our safaris are not simply to observe - they are to participate, to share and to learn about this great country, the people and the wildlife and come away with a true understanding of what Africa is really about!
